CAMP LEGACY GOALS:
Our goal at Camp Legacy in Omaha, NE is to inspire young children through immersive outdoor experiences. We aim to foster curiosity, build confidence, and encourage teamwork, all while exploring what it is like to be a kid. The staff strives to create lasting memories in a fun, adventurous, and safe environment where campers can connect with nature and each other.

UPPER CAMP DETAILS

Upper Camp is a great way for older campers to unplug for the summer and remember what it is like to be a kid. Camp is broken into ten 1-week sessions, each with its own theme and special events. Sign up for one, multiple or all ten. There is a discount if you sign up for EIGHT or more sessions!

A TYPICAL DAY

At the beginning of each week, campers are divided by grade into set groups of 12-15 campers and assigned a Counselor and Jr. Counselor to guide them through their fun. A typical day could look like this:

7:30-9:00 // Before care
8:45-9:00 // Arrival and morning pow-wow
9:15-9:45 // Flag raising and morning songs
9:45-11:45 // First & second rotations
11: 45-12:15 // Lunch break
12:15-3:30 // Third, fourth, & fifth rotations
3:30 // Full day dismissal
3:30-5:00 // After care

Rotations change daily and include swimming, arts and crafts, cooking, archery, game room, nature, team sports and much more.

Before you arrive, check out the Parent Resources Page for all the details you need to prepare for your first day.

LOWER CAMP DETAILS

Lower Camp is only available for Legacy School’s students as we have found that campers this young need to be familiar with their surroundings prior to spending an entire day at camp. Camp is broken into ten 1-week sessions, each with its own theme and special events.

NOTE: If your student is joining Legacy in the fall for the first time and Camp Legacy will be their first experience on the Legacy campus before they start, they must be registered for at least five sessions. This will allow them time to get comfortable with the grounds and the routines of Legacy. Returning Legacy students do not have a minimum requirement.

A TYPICAL DAY

Our younger campers get a wonderful, well-rounded camp experience but on a smaller scale than our older campers. For example, these campers will not use the pool but they will get designated water days playing on the lawn. At the beginning of each week, the campers are divided into groups of 10-12 campers and assigned a Counselor and Jr-Counselor that will remain with them all week. A typical day could look like this:

Camp starts in home rooms with get-to-know-you activities.

They will join the Upper Campers for flag raising and morning songs, then they move through 45 minute rotations that include activities like the playground, arts and crafts, cooking, water play, and much more.

The day ends with a snack and talking with their friends about the best part of their day.

Before you arrive, check out the Parent Resources Page for all the details you need to prepare for your first day.
