JUCOS

Junior Counselors (JUCOS) assist the Camp Counselors with group activities. This is a volunteer program open to 6th graders and older.

BECOME A COUNSELOR

Counselors lead our campers’ daily activities. They follow the schedule while coming up with unique ways to keep the campers entertained and engaged. Activities include morning flag raising, archery, pool time, arts and crafts, ziplines, baseball, soccer and more.

A new set of campers arrive each week to start a new adventure. Along with a Jr. Counselor or two, you will be assigned a group of 12-15 kids to get to know. It is a fun, rewarding summer job. And did we mention there are no nights or weekends? You must be a high school grad or older to apply.

BECOME A LIFEGUARD

Our lifeguards are responsible for managing our two pools all summer. You will need to be lifeguard certified and have your CPR training by the start of the season.

This is a unique role, as lifeguards get the opportunity to see every Upper Camper all summer. They all have rotations through the pools multiple times a day, allowing the campers to get to know the lifeguards.

Lifeguards should be attentive at all times, able to work well with all ages of campers and understand the importance of their job. You must be 16 years or older to apply.

BECOME A JR COUNSELOR

Junior Counselors is a volunteer Counselor-In-Training opportunity (we call them JU-COs). They are assigned a group for the week and assist the counselor in creating a memorable experience for the campers.

Volunteer hours are from 8:45 AM-3:30 PM.  There is no before or after care provided for Junior Counselors. Junior Counselors may set their own schedules, but are asked to volunteer for the full day.

We will be accepting 21 Junior Counselors each day (17 Upper Camp and 4 Lower Camp). Volunteer spots are limited and will be first-come first-serve.

This is a fantastic program for kids who are too old to attend camp but too young to be employed. Also, it gets them unplugged and outside during their summer break! Jucos do not get paid, but there is also no fee for them to attend camp.
