Lower Camp FAQs

Q. How do I register?

Q.  Where are campers during the day?
​A.  Lower Camp campers spend their busy days in the school building, on the playground, at the soccer field, and in the nature trail.

Q.  Will my child be swimming at the pool?
A.  Lower Camp campers do not use the pools, but they do have 2 water days throughout the week to enjoy age-appropriate water activities.

Q.  Do I pay for all sessions at the time of registration?
A.  We have several payment options available.:  1)Pay in full  2)Pay half at registration and another half in May  3)Weekly payments, if registered for 5 or more sessions

Q.  Do campers have to be current Legacy School students to attend?
A.  Lower Camp is available for Legacy School’s Pre-K and Jr-K students only. 

Q.  Do you provide lunch and breakfast?
A.  We do not provide breakfast or lunch.  Campers should eat breakfast before camp.  All campers need to bring a cold lunch and a water bottle every day.

Q.  What about snacks?
A.  Camp Legacy provides a morning snack to all Lower Camp campers.  Campers must bring their own afternoon snack.

Q.  Can we send peanut butter and jelly sandwiches?
A.  Lower Campers eat lunch inside Legacy School. Legacy School is a peanut-free school.

Q.  Can I register my child for 3 days only?
A.  All Camp Legacy sessions are five days/week. We do not have partial registration.

Q.  What does a typical day of Lower Camp look like?
​A.  Camp groups have a daily schedule that is different each day.
Groups move with their camp counselor between arts/crafts,  nature, cooking, sports, music, and team building activities.  They stay busy all day!

Upper Camp FAQs

Q. How are campers grouped?
A. Campers are grouped by grade.

Q.  Do I pay for all sessions at the time of registration?
A. We have several payment options available.:  1)Pay in full  2)Pay half at registration and another half in May  3)Weekly payments, if registered for 5 or more sessions

Q.  Who are the camp counselors?
A.  We hire counselors that are graduating seniors and college students.  They’ve all had experience working with children and love camp!  All counselors are background checked and go through a week-long Camp Legacy training before camp starts.

Q.  Can we send peanut butter and jelly sandwiches?
A.  Upper Campers eat lunch under one of the many outside pavilions on the property. Peanut butter may be sent with your child as we have peanut free tables.

Q.  What if I register and then need to cancel a session?
A.  All camp payments are final; there are no refunds.

Q.  Can I register my child for 3 days only?
A.  All Camp Legacy sessions are five days/week. We do not have partial registration.

Q.  Do all campers have to swim?
A.  All campers go to the pool twice a day.  We have two wonderful pools.  Campers are required to take our swim evaluation every Monday.

Q.  Is breakfast and lunch provided?
A.  Campers should eat breakfast before camp.  All Upper campers bring a cold lunch, an extra snack, and a water bottle every day!

Q.  Will my child be doing the same thing every day?
A.  Camp groups have a daily schedule that is different each day.
Groups rotate each hour between arts/crafts, pool, nature, cooking, archery, soccer/baseball fields, front/back lawn areas, zip line, obstacle course, theater, team building, and gym.  They stay busy all day!

Q.  Where do campers go when it rains?
A.  We are an outdoor camp, so we are outside most of the day.  We have indoor areas for all groups during bad weather and tornado shelter if needed.
